A simple lined cotton drawstring bag is used for a variety of occasions in Japan. Use your bag to carry your sewing or sashiko supplies. Students will learn how to transfer the sashiko design to the fabric using stencils and templates, sashiko stitch the design in class, and receive instructions for sewing and completing the bag at home.

Kit Fee:  $35 - includes fabric for bag and lining, cording, sashiko thread and needles, transfer paper, design templates and handout.

Kit fee is payable in class.  Exact change appreciated.

Students should bring scissors for cutting thread, white washout marking pen or pencil, ball point pen, straight pins, 12" ruler and a needle threader that will work with thicker weight threads if you like to use a needle threader.
